a painting about physically system theories
Leipzig · Eisenbahnstr.
mural painting, 9 x 16 (m)
silicate color, lacquer, pigment, painter rolls, spraycan, brush
The painting The world of a proton trys to illustrate a not so common but really new physically system theory. With the Unity Theory the scientists calculate the whole universe just by calculating a single proton.
These theory says a proton is a whole universe, exactly like ours. So our universe is also just like a proton of a bigger world. Is it possible that the universe in one dimension smaller or bigger does look exactly like ours? Are there infinite dimensions of size – down and up? By what factor is that dimension jump possible? Is it a factor by the number Phi ?

What is a "forum" on stage? When does the stage become a meeting place? And which theatrical means are available for an encounter on an open stage?
Socio-cultural theater makers from Portugal, Spain and Germany give theoretical and practical insights into their work in a series of five workshops.
The photography was used as main motive for this project.
The theater project was organized by Mathias Sterba and gruppe tag.

Leipzig – Ost Passage Theater
6 month workshop with non-artists
Leipzig · Ost-Passage Theater
With small exercises 13 participants helpt me to find out more about the behavior of a line.
The basement of this workshop were the great theoretically minds and trails and error work about the basic elements of painting from Wassily Kandisky.
In his 2 books Über das geistige in der Kunst and Punkt und Linie zu Fläche he started an analysis of the elements point, line and surface. There he describe how they interact with each other belonging to different factors like form, size or color. He also researched in pushing and pulling forces of these elements.
For the workshop i put the focus on the element line.
On the one side we tryed to proof Kandinskys theses. On the other side we expanded the properties of a line. Especially we experimented with the property of lenght and also of form.
The workshop took place 1 time a week.
There were just 2 rules. 1 rule for every session – draw anything you don't know from our visible world. The other rule pointet each session. I gave a pool of elements that have to be in the drawing. For example: make a drawing with 2 lines, 2 circles and 1 dot; 1 line have to be 30 minutes long
At the end we organized a exhibition in an old theater building to show our results.

building up a permagarden to produce all food one human needs
Leipzig
experiment, intervention, farm 10.00 x 5.20 (m)
common gardening tools, wood, organic material, seeds, water, light
For this project some old city garden cells were rent over a period of 2 years.
A group of 7 participants were organized. Each participant got a field of 52 square meters to produce their own food and got 1 have-to day/week for watering and other essential jobs for the whole group.
The goal was to produce food in a scale that each participant should be able to eat the whole year by the garden. In that sense each person tryed out different methods of gardening. We used well known alternative methods, some common and also some own created methods.
Long time ago the area was a moor.
This and the fact that the garden colony is geographically low located relative to the rest of city gave us the option the start early in the year with seeding.
Also the ground water was just 25-50 cm under earth. Good for dry sommer days. But some old apricot trees looked really sick of that. So we started to install organic drainages and small water chanelles for a better wealth of the tree roots. The channels got flexible doors. Up to that we were able to control indirectly the moisture level of the cultivated fields. The channels meet up in a small pool. There we installed a lot of stones to make it possible for lizards to come and stay. With that the problem of hungry snales where solved.
